Who says Broadband is expensive?
I am being asked about why our broadband services are still expensive?
For me, I think Streamyx offers one of cheapest broadband service in the country, just that, we need to be smart enough to make use of their offering.
If your Streamyx is slow, opt for a faster connection and share the bill with your neighbor !!!
For a Streamyx Combo 4Mbps package(RM160), you only pay RM80 while your neighbor pays the rest and both of you could have a 4Mbps connection over WiFi. What’s wrong in sharing the connection with your neighbor for a faster speed and a lower price when Streamyx itself is a shared network.
The only problem you have here is to find a neighbor who has broadband at home. Thinking about WiFi router? Add RM10 to your bill and get a free WiFi modem from Streamyx, isn’t that easy?
If your PC doesn’t have WiFi, you can get a WiFi modem that will usually cost about RM100 in Low Yat Plaza.
Now you just need to pray that your neighbor won’t be moving within the next 12 moths and none of them is a p2p user.
