P1 to launch USB WiMAX modem

Soon, Packet One will be launching the USB modem.

Currently, it is being trialled internally(about 2 months) and I was told that it will be available within the next few weeks(said one of its partner who requested anonymity). A number of those USB modem will be given out for trials next week and I am one of those lucky ones.

The picture below is a picture of the first generation P1 USB WiMAX Modem. Some of its feature includes handover between WiMAX and WiFi, that’s 2.3GHZ and 2.4Ghz chips in one single device, side by side!!:

Update: P1 WiMAX is officially in Penang!!
