2 Mobile Operators Trialling LTE in Malaysia

If you know what is LTE (Long Term Evolution) , I found out that two telcos in Malaysia is trialling LTE in Malaysia.

The trial is on the 900Mhz band and it seems that Red/Green & Blue is currently conducting that trial.

Anyway, don’t expect to see LTE for the next 3-4 years because it involves a whole new technology and new investment when the 3G operators are yet to profit from their current high speed broadband network.

My guess is that most operators will be moving towards HSPA+ before considering LTE.

    I thought there were only 2, maybe 3, LTE testbeds in the world – none of them in Malaysia.. There are telcos here that are trialing 3G over 900 but that's a different thing, isn't it..?
