Malaysia to get WiMAX on the 2.6 GHz frequencies?
I hope this is not another statement that will embarrass himself again.
The Minister of Communication who attended the ministerial meeting and roundtable discussions involving the government sector and industry players in conjunction with the 2010 World Mobile Telecommunication Congress said this- “WiMax, via the 2.3 and 2.6 GHz frequencies, will be the key technology for the mobile industry in Malaysia,”

As far as we all know, Malaysia has only issued WiMAX licenses using the frequencies 2.3Ghz, 2.5Ghz and the 3.5Ghz. Now where on earth did the 2.6Ghz come from? Plus do we need more WiMAX operators?
The statement can be found on National News Agency-Bernama
