Celcom Broadband to charge for billing

Starting 1st August 2010, Celcom Broadband will start charging customers for billing if they failed to opt out from paper bills.

Probably some sort of cost cutting measure, customers that failed to opt out will then be charged according to below:

Print Bill – Summary: RM2

Print Bill – Itemised: RM3

Celcom Broadband customers who wants to opt out from billing can walk in to Celcom branch or call the Celcom helpline- 1 300 111 000.

    Finally, celcom is going green on paper bills. Despite 10 years late… when I first introduced this in maxis in 1999, eBPP (electronic billing and presentment) has finally been offered by one of the most paper-burning-tree chopping industry…. it is better late than never.

    When is the banking industry, another paper-burning industry, going to go digital paper billing?

    actually Celcom start e-billing service few years ago but they do not “force” user to use it. i think this is just initiative to encourage users user e-billing instead of paper billing.

    just my concern, can celcom e-billing system handle more user, coz in my experience their system is quite slow before and sometime the service down at all.

    I called Celcom Helpline to opt for e-billing but the Customer Service Officer was not aware that Celcom will be charging for paper billing for Celcom Broadband customer starting 1 August 2010. I told them to key into their computer system that I have asked for e-billing and will not pay for the paper bill if Celcom decides to charge. Spoke to Encik Arthik on 26.6.2010 at 10:30pm.

    i have 2 celcom broadband account. I have never been able to cancel one of it. Tried for a year already. Complaints made were turned down. Time to cancel my celcom if im free.
