P1 to upgrade WiMAX Network to LTE, live Demo next week

Packet One(P1) is currently exploring the possibilities to upgrade it network to LTE TDD, similar to what AsiaSpace announced last year.

Malaysia Wireless has been invited to a live demonstration of the technology at Port Dickson next week where it will be Malaysia first live demonstration of LTE. The demo will be conducted by P1′s technology partner, ZTE.

An agreement is expected to be signed between P1 and 3G chipmaker Qualcomm to explore the deployment of LTE TDD.

    P1 or for that matter all service providers should explore the possibilities of rolling out newer technologies which will provide better experience to its subscribers. LTE promises to be a smarter solution which caters for the increasing mobile data traffic needs. Kudos to P1… Looking forward for your updates.
