[Opinion] SoyaCincau = YTL Communications

SoyaCincau was seen in a number of media events including Sony Ericsson, HTC and a couple of mobile operator events too. The person attending the event has been identified as Amin Ashaari who used to work in the P1 corporate communication team.

Below is the public profile of Amin Ashaari on Facebook.

As you can see in the screenshot above, Amin works in SWOT Communications which is the PR agency of YTL Communications Sdn Bhd (YES4G). To be specific, Amin is the person in-charge for the YTL account in his agency.

Although this could be Amin’s “part time blog”, he could lose his job in Swot since it is a direct conflict of interest for someone working in Swot to write and promote about YTL’s competitors such as P1, DiGi, Maxis or Celcom.

But what if SoyaCincau is YTL Communications?

The bigger picture here- What is YTL’s intention in doing this? A few weeks back, Malaysian Wireless and a couple of people including SoyaCincau was invited to an internal discussion with a huge telco. Prior to that, this “huge telco” did not know the that Amin works with YTL YES4G.

To invite SoyaCincau to media events, Amin can be contacted as below.

Stay tune for more stories tomorrow.

P.s: Malaysian Wireless discovered that two more people are behind SoyaCincau. Who are these people?

I personally do not find Soya Cincau is comparing the P1 vs YES in a fair manner, and now I understand why it sounds bias …maybe P1 fired him last time now he joins YES for revenge … LOL

To make this story more interesting, well yep, when Individual A was still in P1, he leaked numerous infos about the company’s plans to release devices via the blog, and that a tweety bird told me that SWOT was once P1′s marketing agency too. So, see the connection? P1 + SoyaCincau (MAYBE via SWOT) > Yes + SoyaCincau (via SWOT too?). So definitely I am not surprised that SWOT could be directly or indirectly involved in this thing too.

P.s. Individual A wasn’t working in SWOT, but in P1 during their early days. Just do a google search on P1′s old press releases.

  • Andrew

Yea… and u Kugan is also from another Telco… so what…. as long as the articles are unbias…

Dear Andrew, you want to meet up and discuss this? Coz it makes it easier for me to prove you wrong….

      Nice try btw….

I read it, it is so full of lies. P1 is a mobile operator which work everywhere. I used P1 and I never come across problem with coverage at all. Their speed is very fast and can play youtube without streaming. P1 daring enough to show the promise speed which they can deliver but why yes no guts to mention? Something must be wrong. I think they lack confidence in their network.

P1 modem is the strongest in Malaysia also. You compare the modem side by side you can tell which one is better. Yes is only for the rich and not so smart.
