U Mobile Claims the Fastest Mobile Broadband in Malaysia

With the recent upgrade of its mobile network to HSPA+, U Mobile now claims that it has the fastest mobile broadband network in Malaysia with speeds up to 42Mbps.

The U Mobile 42Mbps network is now available at Klang Valley, Seremban, Port Dickson and Johor Bahru. The full 42Mbps U Mobile coverage can be viewed- here. There are currently over 1300 sites in the central region that has been upgraded with the new speed.

While declining to give exact average speeds, Dr. Kaizad, CEO of U Mobile told MalaysianWireless that users can expect broadband speeds between 3-10Mbps and up to 42Mbps on the network. He added that the majority users on U Mobile will always enjoy the fastest speed.

The U Mobile 42Mbps broadband plans:

The MB68 plan cost RM68 per month and comes with 5GB data quota while the MB128 cost RM128/month and has a 20GB data quota. As part of a promotion, customers who buy the MiFi or the 42Mbps USB modem will receive a RM100 rebate in their postpaid bill over a period of 5-month. Modems rental are also available at RM20 a month.

A new weekly data plan is expected to be available soon. The U Broadband weekly plan will be priced at RM15/week with 500MB of data quota.

    Umobile have 3G coverage in Muar, Segamat and the lastest town is Kluang. The problem is when user want to potong for whatever reason, they have to go to Umobile Johor Bahru Branch. That suck.

      looks like UMobile like to venture to the South. I guess its incorporate with their promo NO ROAMING RATE with sister company Starhub. UMobile is partly owned by Singapore Telemedia.

    U mobile sucks. DONT DONT DONT waste your money. It is not the FASTEST but DAMN SLOW. SLOWEST. Cuts you off anytime they wish. ?????
