[Video] Why P1 came out with the ONE Plan

Packet One Networks(P1) answered some questions in a video on why they came out with the ONE plan, a broadband plan with 2 modems.

According to P1′s associate director of broadband services, Syed Othman Syed Salim says that ONE plan is the only broadband plan in the market that offers 2 services in one plan. It comes with a desktop modem for home users with WiFi & Voice while the USB modem allows a customer to surf on the go(outdoor).

“Its one of its kind, its affordable and we believe it has the best value in market” said Syed adding that the ONE plan offer users the “complete broadband experience”.

P1′s latest internal survey revealed that 93% of users are using their mobile broadband(USB) service at home. Syed says that due to the form factor of the USB modem, minimal power and its small antenna design(signal penetration into walls), the devices wasn’t designed to be used at home. He also claims that mobile broadband plans are designed for light surfing such as using web and Facebook while home broadband plans are designed for heavy users(Youtube, downloads..etc).

    I don’t agree with what he says.A home plan should have at least more than 60GB of data like Unifi.P1 is only offering 30GB data for Home Pro.It is not enough for home users.They should have upgraded the Home Pro to higher data and put the 30GB for mobile broadband use which is acceptable.Home users like me is controlling the usage so as not to have slow speed when we exceed the 30GB data which is frustrating.P1 should really consider revising the data limit for Home Pro.

    i do agree with you about the quota. it should be alot more if it is shared by 2 modems. specially when its at home because at home we tend use a lot more. But so far, the one plan is the most worth it plan on the market right now.
