Maxis iPhone 4S Launch is Nationwide on Dec 16 Midnight

We recently got tipped from Tay Boon Leong who live in Penang about the Maxis iPhone 4S. Mr Tay claims that he received an invitation from Maxis to attend the iPhone 4S launch at the main Maxis Center in Penang on December 16, midnight.

Upon further checking, we found out that the same thing is happening at few other states. The main Maxis Center in Kuantan, Johor, Kuching, Kota Kinabalu & Penang will be open on December 16 midnight for the iPhone 4S launch.

Unfortunately, we also found out that only selected Maxis customers are invited to purchase the iPhone 4S at 12am. We were told that Maxis customers nationwide should be able to purchase the iPhone 4S starting 10am(Dec 16).

This makes Maxis customers among the 1st to purchase the iPhone 4S in the country at 12am, December 16.

We haven’t heard anything similar from Celcom and DiGi but both operators also offer the iPhone 4S nationwide during business hours. If you know something that we don’t know yet, please drop us an email.

    Have emailed you on the notification by DIGI – snapshot: available for purchase from over 100 DiGi outlets and authorised dealers NATIONWIDE starting 16 December 2011. Also, DiGi 360° SoHoKL outlet will be open 24 hours on 16 & 17 December

    Bro, do you know that we can buy the phone directly from Maxis without subscribing to a line? I’m with a friend at the KLCC Maxis Special Iphone booth now, and they said I can buy up to 5 Iphones without subscription.  I’m checking with their supervisor/manager in case the staff is not telling the truth….

        Not true, bro, we did not subscribe to any Maxis / Iphone plans, we just bought the phones – outright purchase.  Am sure you know I’m on Digi, not Maxis.
