TM Info-Media Sdn Bhd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM), recently unveiled the new logo of Yellow Pages, its directory for business listings, giving the publication a refreshed look after being part of the service offerings of TM Group for more than 20 years.

Alfian Abu Talib, Chief Executive Officer, TM Info-Media said, “The decision to rejuvenate the look of the ever familiar “Walking Finger” was made to reinforce our product identity and mark the transformation of the business directory industry into a one-stop site as the information aggregator. Rapid technological developments was the impetus for Yellow Pages to enhance its service offerings via the web and online services, digital books and mobile applications.”
In addition to that, TM will soon make available its Yellow Pages mobile app for iPhone/iPad and Android users. TM said that the iOS app which will be available for download via Apple’s Apple Store in June 201 followed by Android in July. There are also plans to release the app for other platform.
According to TM, the new logo depicts a refreshed ‘walking finger’ image with a more focused, smoother and richer colour of the logo and font. The book in the logo has been replaced with a ‘dog-ear’ mark, indicating Yellow Pages’ move towards a whole new suite of communication media; print, online, digital and mobile.
The online version of Yellow Pages has been live since 2003 and now registers about 1 million page hits per month.
