Greeted by Kwon Jae Hoon, Managing Director, Wong Fatt Weng, Marketing Director and Vincent Chong, Head of Mobile Phone Division, Pandelela was presented with a brand new Samsung Galaxy S III as a token of appreciation for her inspiring achievement at the recent London Olympic 2012.

Moreover, knowing that Pandelela is a fan of K-Pop sensation ‘Big Bang,’ Samsung presented her with a pair of tickets to catch her favourite act live in concert, on 27 October at Stadium Merdeka.

“I am truly grateful for the immense support given by Samsung and its ‘Samsung Believes in Malaysia’ campaign that encouraged Malaysian athletes throughout the Olympics. It really meant a lot to me, knowing that Malaysians and Samsung are behind my dreams to make our nation proud at the Olympic Games,” said the 19-year old diver, who also autographed one of the Samsung Galaxy S III back covers and a framed poster during her visit.

Pandelela did the nation proud by finishing third in the Women’s 10m Platform Event final, making her the first athlete in Malaysia to win a medal in diving. The Sarawakian lass collected a total of 359.20 points after five strong dives, earning her the bronze medal of the category and making her the country’s first ever female Olympian to win a medal at the prestigious sporting event.
