P1 might launch Shuttle to replace WiGGY

P1 WiMAX might reveal a new modem called Shuttle to replace its WiGGY modem in an event tommorow. Shuttle,  a USB WiMAX modem which has better looks and specification compared to the WiGGY was announced end last year by P1′s parent company, Green Packet Bhd.

YTL WiMAX to offer web TV

The yet to be launched YTL WiMAX is set to sign up with US-based Sezmi Corporation to offer web TV service . In the US, Sezmi is available in 2 montly packages: $4.99(RM16) & $19.99(RM62). Some of the channels offered on Sezmi include Youtube, video on demand, ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC and more.

AsiaSpace is exploring LTE TDD technology

WiMAX operator, AsiaSpace which still has a dead network since July 2010 recently announced that it is now considering/exploring Long Term Evolution Time Division Duplex (LTE TDD) technology. It has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with 3G chipmaker Qualcomm to explore future deployment of LTE TDD. Press Release below:
