Former TM Net Sdn Bhd chief executive officer (CEO) Michael Lai has joined Green Packet Bhd and has been tasked to spearhead its global operations and to expand its business presence abroad.
Green Packet said in a statement on Jan 15 that Lai has been appointed the new CEO of its global marketing arm Green Packet International Sdn Bhd effective Jan 15.
Green Packet said Lai would spearhead its international business operations and market expansions with a key focus on its flagship product, SONmetro solution.
Lai will develop strategic and operational directions, planning and implementation of all business initiatives in the global market as the group expands its international presence.
Lai was the CEO of TM Net from 2005 until his resignation last November. Prior to that, he was senior vice president of branding and market development at Celcom Malaysia Bhd and marketing director of Oracle Malaysia.
Green Packet group manaing director and CEO Puan Chan Cheong, said: “Michael’s extensive hands-on experience in the information technology and telecommunication platforms will certainly add significant value to Green Packet’s efforts in developing and expanding our operations further overseas”.-theedgedaily
