Hi Guys. If you have noticed, there has been a slow update on Telco Talk. The reason? My notebook was hacked last week!!! [email protected]#$%^^&*!!!
That’s why there was a lot of copy and paste job since last week trying to keep this blog updated. I have got to get online with my old notebook which I detected it working as a zombie!!! What a bad weekend!!! First I got my Windows infected(loss a lot of important files) with virus and spyware and then I see botnet on my old notebook .
Sigh……
I was using a paid version of PC-Cillin Internet Security 2006 where everything needed was there with an updated version. AT THIS POINT OF writing, I have got my Windows repaired(phew…, no need to change hard disk) and started to rely on freewares on my notebook. I was suspicious on these “free” software, so did all the “test” needed to see how good it was, and the result was superb. My IP is undetectable on the Internet(my informations are safe), my anti-virus has some 70% shield protection which is good enough and I have got Windows Defender and Spyware Terminator installed.
The Value of this TRUE STORY
- Don’t chat on MSN(I mean don’t chat so long…..;) and open unknown files)
- Don’t use IRC
- Don’t go to unknown website(use site advisor)
- Use VPN if you can afford
- Use a GOOD security software and finally:
- Don’t use Trend Micro PC-Cillin
