Universiti Teknologi Petronas plans wireless campus

Universiti Teknologi Petronas (UTP) has collaborate with Telekom Malaysia to set up wireless broadband access in the University.

The project, an investment of RM400,000 by UTP will provide wireless broadband service(TMNet hotspot) to its 5,800 students. The Students will need a device with WiFi access and their student ID number to use the wireless broadband service.

The wireless broadband service back haul infrastructure will have a capacity of up to 15Mbps.

In an unrelated matter, I found this “corporate video” which TM prides themself as they have succeed in monopolizing the Telecommunication service and infrastructure in this country.
