TIME dotCom Bhd posted a lower pre-tax loss of RM39.6 million for its Q1

TIME dotCom Bhd posted a lower pre-tax loss of RM39.6 million for its first quarter ended March 31 compared with a pre-tax loss of RM42.23 million for the same quarter last year.

Its turnover stood at RM79.64 million, down from RM86.96 million previously.

It was also a better performance on an immediate preceding quarter basis, when the company registered a RM52.4 million pre-tax loss, it said in a statement today.

The company will continue to work on optimising the use of its fibre optic network to bring in more revenue, said its managing director Datuk Baharum Salleh.

TIME dotCom is working on transforming its network to be fully Internet Protocol (IP)-based which will, in turn, allow it to offer more solutions and services to the market.

Baharum said the company is leveraging on its extensive fibre coverage to boost revenue and is on the lookout for new revenue sources.

Forging partnerships with international service providers is one way for the company to cater to our customers’ immediate requirements, especially local companies which are venturing overseas,” he said. – Bernama
