Telekom Malaysia Bhd (TM) today launched its call centre at Menara Komtar(Penang) here to serve its customers in the northern region.
TM has three other 24-hour call centres in the country, namely in Kuala Lumpur, Melaka and Kuching. The centre in Penang will be manned by 254 customer service representatives.
“All the four call centres currently use the Integrated Allied Relationship System or iCARE IT support system to enhance their capabilities and efficiencies” chief executive officer of TM Group Datuk Abdul Wahid Omar said during his speech at the launching ceremony here today.
The event was officiated by Chief Minister Tan Sri Dr Koh Tsu Koon.
Abdul Wahid said the iCARE was created for an enhanced customer network operating system.
The system which will provide more detailed client information will enable a customer service representative to serve customers more effectively.
All four centres are operated by TM’s subsidiary company, VADS, a provider of comprehensive Information Communication Technology services and integrated network solutions.
Abdul Wahid said RM80 million has been allocated to the four centres for the provision of customer services.-Bernama
