TIME dotCom Bhd has entered into an agreement with Hong Kong’s Hutchison Global Communications Ltd to offer customised broadband service solutions to corporate customers in Malaysia.
Datuk Baharum Salleh, managing director of TIME dotCom, said through the partnership, the company leveraged on Hutchison’s expertise and network coverage in the international telecommunications market to provide customised solutions.
“Under the agreement, TIME dotCom is well-positioned to offer not only Global IP-VPN services but also International Ethernet Services to corporate customers in Malaysia” Baharum said in a statement Wednesday.
“Hutchison has a comprehensive international network coverage to support the Global IP-VPN services between Malaysia and the rest of the world” he said.
“Additionally, the International Ethernet Services that cover six countries will also be offered via the collaboration” he added.
The agreement between the two companies is for an initial period of three years.
Baharum said through the collaboration, both companies aimed to create a smart partnership in the area of managed services, focusing on a list of clientele comprising financial institutions, information and communications technology (ICT) manufacturing companies and the government sector.
“With this cooperation, TIME dotCom is poised to offer services between Malaysia and Hong Kong as well as other global destinations via Hutchison’s presence,” he said.
Hutchison, a subsidiary of Hutchison Telecommunication International Ltd, owns the largest fibre-to-the-building telecommunications network in Hong Kong.-Bernama
