I am currently testing out the Celcom Huawei E220 USB Data Modem which was provided by Celcom.
It supports HSDPA up to 3.6Mbps,3G, EDGE and GPRS. Using a 2.0 USB interface, the modem is able to receive a good signal with its internal antenna.
Weighting only 50g, this eye-catching white device also supports sending and receiving SMS. Sadly, it does not support voice services.
The test unit is locked to be used in Vodafone network(Celcom) in Malaysia.
Review on Celcom 3G network soon using this Huawei E220 USB modem.
P.s: If any Maxis staffs or dealer claims that they are the only one in the country to offer plug n play with their broadband modem,say NO, because this Huawei Modem will automatically install the software when you plug in the modem for the first time. Also, no settings is required using Celcom 3G(and all Vodafone network) with this modem.
