Media Prima lauched Mobile TV, but no Live TV

Mobile TV with no live TV……..That is what Media Prima has launched today.

As said earlier, the service is available to Maxis 3G subscribers only, users must make a video call by dialing *32012 and follow the on screen instruction to view the selected video. Users will be charged RM0.30 per minute.

According to Paul Moss, GM of Media Prima Portals, this rate is affordable. Do you think so?

You could watch highlights of upcoming episodes, recaps of previous episodes, bloopers and other short clips. Some of it includes Kaber Hero Kaber Zero, Seekers, Pendekar 5, Ho Chak and more but remember that these will be short clips and not the whole video.

When asked about real live TV services, Paul Moss told me that Malaysians will love to have on demand contents since they don’t have to follow the live TV timing to watch a certain show.

One benefit of this service is that it will work on any 3G phone. That’s cool!!!

A chat program was also launched. Called My Messenger, you could chat with Yahoo!, Google and MSN contacts. My Messenger is powered by getemo.

According to Paul, Media Prima will soon launch a Mobile WAP site and Mobile Content downloads.

Note: Dear Maxis 3G users, please share your experience here. Thank You.
