New Celcom Broadband with Huawei modem and Feedback Needed

Most people has complained that Celcom Broadband does not come with modem. The latest rumors I have heard is that Celcom will start to offer the Vodafone branded Huawei E220 modem at RM499 that comes with a 12 months contract which after that the modem becomes the property of the customer.

A monthly charge of RM99 applies with speed up to 3.6Mbps. It is believed that this new offer will be available starting 1st April 2008. Celcom will also introduce an exclusive modem from Vodafone at a later time that will be exclusive to Celcom in Malaysia.

According to the source, after the de-merger of TM(read more details here), Celcom will have an option of not to use TMNet as their network backbone, which I believe will result in faster Celcom Broadband.

Also, to Celcom Broadband users out there, please drop me an email- [email protected] if your have any suggestion or comments on Celcom Broadband. All feedbacks will be directed to the relevant department in Celcom which will be considered and looked into it seriously.
