DiGi has a Desktop Agent that keeps you in touch with all the latest info on DiGi.
The DiGi Desktop Agent is an automatic information retrieval agent which allows you to stay in touch with DiGi related events and information with a click of a button.
Extra features include options to change your desktop icons and wallpapers with the Desktop Agent’s preset themes, DiGi alerts, event calendar and info listing.-DiGi
I don’t know how long this application has been available but I believe that it could have been there for over a year!! Have you ever heard about it before?
To use it, download the apps here, and launch the “DesktopAgentDeploy.msi” file. The app will then install and you will see a small DiGi icon at the Windows tray icon.
Double clicking on it, will open the app, which will look like the one below.
I find the application interesting because it can customize the way your Windows look and feel, the DiGi way. From the Desktop Agent, you can choose from one of the DiGi wallpapers and also change your current Windows theme to the DiGi theme.
The only problem I see is that at the point of writing, I can only see one promotion offer via the DiGi Desktop Agent while there are so many other promotion and offers that are currently available at DiGi.
While DiGi will soon launch 3G and plans to be more aggressive in the internet scene, it will be great to see DiGi focusing on something like this more and interact with their customers.
Suggestions for DiGi Desktop Agent (DDA):
- Add a Customer login
- D’Chat feature
- Change the user interface (UI) of the apps to be more user friendly and customiseable
- Add SMS/MMS feature
- Pay DiGi Bills
- Chat with other DDA users (friends) or intergrate with DiGi Mobile IM
- Event notification
- Keep the apps lite
