Update on Asiaspace Amax

I don’t remember when was the last time I wrote about Asiaspace’s Amax. Here’s an update:

AMAX now offers 4 WiMAX packages:

  1. amax68- 1Mbps, USB modem (RM68/month)
  2. amax88- 1Mbps, Desktop Modem (RM88/month)
  3. amax118- 1.5Mbps, USB or Desktop Modem (RM118/month)
  4. amax288- 2Mbps, USB or Desktop Modem (RM288/month)

Full details on this page.

Also there seem to be 2 notebook packages, check it out here.

The WiMAX operator which has failed to meet the 25% coverage set by the Government has been fined RM1.9 million recently, official story here. But it seems that Asiaspace has been extending it WiMAX coverage quietly. Amax now covers at selected areas in Petaling Jaya, Subang Jaya, Puchong, Bukit Jalil, Jalan Kelang Lama, Bandar Baru Seri Petaling, Cheras, Ampang, Gombak, Kepong, Sentul, Shah Alam, Klang, Bangi and Rawang. Full list of coverage here.

You can also request for coverage by filling up a form here.

I hope Asiaspace could be more aggressive in rolling out its WiMAX broadband network.
