Everyone in this country has something to say when it comes to our Broadband service. The Government is aware of this(broadband issues) and they gave us(consumers) a team of only 6 people to resolve problems from at least one million broadband users out there.
We have more than a million broadband users and the number is growing every single day. But the problem are there every seconds, including those not getting good internet speed, time outs(thanks to Fair Usage Policy), bad experience and so much more.
I wish the Government could set up a hotline and a National Broadband service center so that I could just walk in or make a call to them when the Streamyx installer does not come in time as promised. I wish with all these being set up, the customer service representative(service provider) would stop blaming on customer’s PC and location when broadband connection is slow and take the customer’s complaint more seriously.
The key thing I’m trying to say is this- The Government of Malaysia is only trying to fulfill the National Broadband initiative. Whether this will ensure that the Internet service provides provide a better service or customers enjoy a better experience, that will have to wait for another day.
He said the brigade, to be headed by the ministry’s secretary-general Datuk Kamaruddin Siaraf would comprise a team of five individuals, including officials from the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (SKMM) which would meet weekly to resolve problems faced by the public or service providers.
