Free Modem with Maxis Broadband

By paying an upfront fee of RM150, users now get to take back home a free modem plus rebate on the monthly access fee.

The new plans are also cheaper. For example, the 1.5GB per month package used to cost RM78(you get RM58 with certain requirements), now it cost only RM48 a month. The 3GB a month plan cost RM68(used to be RM98) and the 6GB plan is at RM98 per month(used to be RM138).

There are no changes on the 12GB package. As it says on the website, the plan still cost RM198 per month.

If you sign up for the 1.5GB/3GB/6GB free modem package with an advance payment of RM150, you get a rebate of RM30 per month for the the 1st 5 months.

Offer ends 30 April 2010.


Note: As for these packages, Maxis will throttle your speed if you exceed the given monthly data limit. Not sure if they still practice in suspending users account for exceeding data limits.
