Now Blackberry developers could use the BlackBerry Push Service from Blackberry to “Push” their own contents.
It won’t be just email anymore. The Push notifications(up to 8KB) will allow Blackberry user to receive immediate updates on all their push-enabled apps such as weather, news, sports, stocks and much more.
The push service is available in two “flavors:” a free BlackBerry Push Essentials and BlackBerry Push Plus, which is available in both free and commercial (“paid”) versions. Developers will have to pay for the service if applications require more than 100,000 “pushes” per day.
