Google’s Android mobile OS has only been around for a year and a half and it has done something impressive- The total app count currently stands at 50,395.
But the real good news is this- Despite the increase of apps, nearly 60 percent of all apps in the Android market are free.
In comparison, Apple has over 200k apps available on App Store.
