A year ago in April, P1 launched the portable WiGGY plan which offered speeds up to 10Mbps.
Of course no one managed to hit that speed on average use(not even 5Mbps) and P1 themself later said that the average speed for the WiGGY is up to 3Mbps only.
Upon checking on the P1 website today(thanks to the reader who gave me the update), I found out the the WiGGY plans has been revised.
W1GGY 59- RM59/month(600Kbps)
W1GGY 89- RM89/month(1.5Mbps)
W1GGY 129- RN129/month(3Mbps)
The good thing about this plan- it is contract free and the WiGGY modem is provided to customers on a rental basis(rental is free). There is also a 7-day cooling off period. P1 will pay customers RM50 if they have decided to terminate the service(after the 7-day cooling off period) and return the WiGGY modem.
My opinion:
I still think P1 needs more time to improve their WiMAX network and coverage if they want to offer a portable/mobile service like this.
