MSI is responding to Apple’s iPad with the recent announcement of its Wind Pad.

[KUALA LUMPUR; MALAYSIA] Micro Star International (MSI), a leading brand in IT and computing products, recently announced the new MSI Wind Pad at COMPUTEX 2010.

Featuring a 10-inch multi-touch control screen and a slim and stylish design, the device runs on Intel’s latest power-saving CPU platform which gives it an incredible 8-hour battery life.

The MSI Wind Pad operates on the latest Microsoft Windows 7 operating system as well as Android and features a host of intuitive and innovative applications designed to enhance multimedia enjoyment and gratification.

Weighing in at merely 800 grams (with battery), The MSI Wind Pad comes with built-in 3G and WiFi connectivity, GPS, 1.3-megapixel webcam and the intuitive G-sensor which enables the device to rotate automatically with body angles of the user to provide exceptional viewing experience.

The MSI Wind Pad will also come equipped with USB ports, SD card reader and HDMI port.

Local availability is expected to be in Q4 2010.
