Maxis is officially launching the in-flight mobile communucation service with AirAsia this Friday(24 Sept).
The service was trialled last year between 20 August – 24 November 2010 and the technology is powered by OnAir. Maxis also have in-flight services with MAS according to its website.
During the trial, calls on AirAsia flights are charged at RM11/min, probably one of the most expensive call chargers in the world. Each SMS is charged RM2 and Data cost RM25/MB.
