It is rumoured that the Blackberry’s authorised distributor in Malaysia, Brightstar Distribution Sdn Bhd will offer the Blackberry Torch 9800 at a retail price of RM2500.
In the mean time, Maxis appears to be the first to offer the Blackberry Torch in Malaysia. Those who pre-registered the Blackberry Torch 9800 with Maxis can purchase it tomorrow for as low as RM1,399 with a 2-years contract. Details on LowYat forum here.
Celcom is scheduled for a smartphone launch event tomorrow at La Bodega, Pavilion Kuala Lumpur. In the past, Celcom always had interesting offers on the Blackberry during the launch and especially at La Bodega. So if you are serious about getting the Torch, you might get it at a special price tomorrow if Celcom is launching the Torch.
A source close to Brightstar said that the Torch 9800 will be available in retail stores starting Monday(November 1, 2010).
