Kaspersky Lab warns against unlocking iPhones

Kaspersky Lab’s David Emm is warning iPhone users who jailbreak their phone.

“If you unlock it you may get the flexibility that you are looking for but clearly there is a potential danger that [an] exploit code that has been written for that device might work whereas it wouldn’t necessarily do so had you not unlocked it.”

So if you have a jailbroken iPhone or plan to jailbreak your iPhone, be prepared for the risk.
