Spice CSL claims 2nd Spot in local Mobile Phone Market

Spice CSL is claiming that it has taken the second spot in the Malaysian mobile phone market with 17.4 per cent share as of September this year from seventh position last year, reports Bernama. However the device company did not mention which report or data it was referring to when the claim was made.

The self-claimed 2nd mobile device maker in Malaysia said that it has sold 600,000 units of its products so far while companies like Sony Ericsson and Samsung have each sold millions.

It also said that it will be investing RM5 million to RM6 million in an advertising and promotion campaign to strengthen its brand image locally and overseas, but did not say when.

I wonder what local offices of Samsung, LG Mobile, and Sony Ericsson have to say about this.
