Celcom and Maybank have teamed up to enable real time bill payment processing for Celcom customers.
Celcom customers who pay their bill via Maybank2u.com and M2U Mobile will immediately see their payment details in their Celcom account, real time. Previously, it takes at least 2-3 working days for Maybank & Celcom to process the online bill payment.

KUALA LUMPUR, 18 FEBRUARY 2011 – Celcom Axiata Berhad, the most experienced and leading mobile telecommunications service provider in the country, and Maybank have introduced an enhanced online payment process via Maybank2u.com and M2U Mobile for its customers. The application provides real time payment processing for Celcom subscribers using these platforms to pay their Celcom bills. This means that upon a successful Celcom bill payment, the subscriber’s Celcom bill status will be updated immediately.
This progressive initiative is made possible by an exclusively tailor-made Payment Gateway system designed to provide a seamless and secured online payment service. This payment service is an enhancement from the previous practice of batch processing which would normally take a minimum of one day to process. With this innovative application, payments made through Maybank2u.com and M2U Mobile would be captured instantaneously by Celcom instead of going through batch processing.
Prior to the introduction of this application, Celcom subscribers who wish to receive immediate billing update are required to make payments over the counter or via the payment kiosks at any of Celcom branch or Blue Cube outlets.

“We anticipate the total transaction volume for Celcom bill payments to grow by at least 25% within a year of this enhanced service compared to 2010. Currently Maybank has the most number of payee corporations exceeding 800. We will continue to introduce more services in the coming months for customers,” added Lim.
