Malaysia made NewsZapped App in Beta

Malaysia-based NewsZapped Media yesterday launched its NewsZapped application for Android and iPhone devices.

Quite similar to Google Reader, NewsZapped is a news aggregation engine with social networking features. The app is is currently aggregating news from over 100 countries including China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Australia, USA, Canada and UK. They include news categorised by topics of interest that gathers over 1,000,000 articles every day derived from leading newspapers, blogs and magazines.

Petaling Jaya, 18 March 2011 – NewsZapped Media (Malaysia) yesterday announced the availability of their flagship beta product, NewsZapped, a unique and intuitive web application that combines a powerful news aggregation engine with social networking features.

“NewsZapped is developed with the idea of simplicity – an all in one user-friendly interface to read news from leading news portals, top blogs and magazines from all over the world,” said David Yong, Chief Executive Officer of NewsZapped Media (Malaysia). “We often find that there is too much to read on a conventional news portal. So we offer in-depth customisation features for our users according to the category of news that would interest them. Newszapped is currently aggregating news from over 100 countries with key countries that include China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Australia, USA, Canada and UK. They include news categorised by topics of interest that gathers over 1,000,000 articles every day derived from leading newspapers, top blogs and magazines.
