DiGi Telecommunications Sdn Bhd (DiGi Tel), had entered into a shareholders agreement with 23 parties to form Konsortium Rangkaian Serantau Sdn Bhd.
In a filing to Bursa Malaysia Monday, DiGi.Com Bhd said the consortium was formed to implement the “Regional Network” entry point project to lower the costs of IP Transit and domestic bandwidth by the aggregation of capacity to secure lower prices from suppliers.
It said the consortium will procure bandwidth capacity from suppliers for domestic backhaul and international segment and supply bandwidth capacity to shareholders.
