Nokia has announced a new business smartphone called E6 and a music phone called X7. Nokia Malaysia said both phones will be available by end of Q2 but did not reveal the pricing details.
The Nokia X7 is built for entertainment, according to Nokia. It comes with an 8GB microSD card pre-installed and a battery that’s good for up to 50 hours of music or 6 hours of video playback. The device has a 4” nHD AMOLED display and offers 16 million colours with a resolution of 640 x 360 pixels.
The X7 has a stainless steel body and measures 119.7 x 62.8 x 11.9mm (thinner at the edges) and weighs 146g. It offers 2G/3G network connectivity and supports 802.11 b/g/n WiFi.
The 8-megapixel full focus camera offers 720p video recording and comes with a dual LED flash. Nokia said that X7 will be available in Q2 2011 and will cost about €380(RM1700), before taxes and operator subsidies.
The Nokia E6 has a body that combines glass and stainless steel in a sleek 115.5 x 59 10.5 mm. The device supports 3G speeds up to 10.2Mbps on HSDPA and 2Mbps on HSUPA. It also suppors WiFi & Bluetooth 3.0.
The 2.46-inch LCD capacitive touch display offers 16mn colours and has a resolution of 640 by 480 pixels. It comes with 8GB of internal memory and supports MicroSD cards up to 32GB.
The 8-megapixel full focus (EDOF) camera has a dual-LED flash, 2X digital zoom (3X in video mode) and offers HD 720p video recording at 25fps. Unfortunately there is no auto focus.
Nokia says that Nokia E6 is expected to ship in Q2 2011 – before taxes and subsidies it will cost €340(about RM1500).
