Malaysia-based NGT Solutions has launched a secure mobile messaging app called Peanut last week. Peanut is an enhanced mobile text-messaging app that allows exchange of private and encrypted messages between Peanut users.

Currently the app is compatible for Blackberry, Java, Android & Symbian. Releases for iPhone & Windows Mobile will be available soon. Approximately 1MB in size, it can be quickly downloaded via http://ngts.com.my/peanut.
The application if free for download until June 1, 2011. After that users will be charged RM33 a year or RM3 a month.
In a media statement, NGT Solutions said that is currently in discussions with operators to offer this solution on a prepaid basis which will soon be available through a payment engine with multiple payment mechanisms.
