Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) together with Media Prima Berhad will be launching Malaysia’s first retro TV channel called EMAS later today.
EMAS is one of the 7 HyppTV premium channels announced earlier this month.
Details of EMAS below:
EMAS is a Media Prima Berhad offering with a retro contemporary concept, and will be transmitted via UniFi or Internet Protocol TV. With the latest technology, Malaysian audiences are now mobile and techno-savvy, watching TV less so via the conversational method and more on their iPhones, iPads, smartphones or online. Media Prima Berhad always strives for new innovations that will be relevant to these changes, and is collaborating with TM to provide Media Prima Berhad’s content via UniFi and come up with personalities of yesteryears such as Nurfarahin Jamsari, Azura Abdul Karim, Azizah Ariffin, Zakiah Anas and Zainal Ariffin. As the first Retro TV Channel in Malaysia, EMAS’s programming consists of highly rated programs such as Majalah 3, Sinaran, Pi Mai Pi Mai Tang Tu, Wanita Hari Ini, Malaysia Hari Ini, Senario, Melodi, Persona Bintang, Nona, and Cereka Perdana.
