Blackberry PlayBook from Maxis

At a launch party yesterday night, Maxis announced the availability of the Blackberry Playbook in Malaysia.

Existing Maxis BlackBerry Internet Service (BIS) users can get the PlayBook tablet for as low as RM990 when they sign up for a 3 GB PlayBook data plan with their BlackBerry smartphone.

The BlackBerry PlayBook will be available at all Maxis Centres and Maxis Exclusive Partners nationwide from 17 July 2011.

Kuala Lumpur, 15 July 2011- Maxis customers will be able to enjoy the most powerful ultra-portable tablet to hit Malaysian shores with the launch of the BlackBerry® PlayBook™. Maxis Berhad (‘Maxis’), Malaysia’s leading integrated communications service provider, launched the new tablet at an exclusive event, against a backdrop of breathtaking views of the Kuala Lumpur skyline from The View at Level 29 of G Tower. The “by-invitation” event saw about 300 members of the media as well as customers, coming together for a night of devices, dinner, dancing and lucky draws. Twenty lucky guests also walked away with BlackBerry® devices.
