DiGi 3G now at Bintulu, Sarawak

DiGi 3G is now available at Bintulu, Sarawak, the 3rd city/district to have it after Kuching & Miri , almost 3 year after launching its 3G service in 2009.

The mobile operator claims that it currently covers over 60% of the human population in Bintulu with 3G.

DiGi Telecommunications Sdn Bhd (“DiGi”) has further broadened its mobile internet footprint in Sarawak with the expansion of its Turbo 3G(tm) network to Bintulu. With 3G population coverage of over 60%, Bintulu is the fourth division after Kuching, Lundu and Miri to have DiGi Internet services in Sarawak.

According to DiGi’s Head of Region Sarawak, Benny Wee Hong Guep, “This expansion is a proof point of DiGi’s commitment to provide Internet access in key market centres of Sarawak.

“The increased demands for our Internet services have encouraged us to continuously expand our 3G coverage to more areas and significantly improve our service offerings. However, we remain focused on delivering reliable connectivity at competitive prices besides providing good customer experience,” he added.
