The Metallic Red Sony Ericsson W8 smartphone is exclusive with DiGi in Malaysia and comes with DiGi’s own music download app called DiGiMusic Play.
Retailed at RM799, the Sony Ericsson W8 runs Android 2.1 and sports a 3-inch capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 320 x 480 pixels, a 3.5 mm headphone jack, and a 3.2MP camera. It is powered by a 600MHz single-core Qualcomm processor with 168MB of RAM. Other standard specifications include HSPA, Bluetooth, WIFi, MicroUSB, GPS and more.
Consumers who subscribe to DG Smart Plan 68 for 24 month can purchase the phone at only RM99. They will also receive a limited edition metallic red MS450 portable stereo speakers and a free 12-month subscription to the music service.
Prepaid customers will receive a free DiGi prepaid starter pack with a reload card of RM50 when they purchase the phone at RM799.

Starting today, DiGi Telecommunications Sdn Bhd (“DiGi”) is offering the Sony Ericsson W8 Walkman phone in Metallic Red as part of an exclusive arrangement with the phone manufacturer. It will be pre-loaded with Malaysia’s first music download app, DiGiMusic(tm) Play and bundled with DG Smart Plan 68.
Retailed at RM799, DiGi Postpaid customers can purchase the phone at only RM99 if they subscribe to the DG Smart Plan 68 for 24 months. As a salute to all things music, customers will also receive limited edition metallic red MS450 portable stereo speakers, the DiGiMusic(tm) Play app pre-loaded into the Walkman phone and a free 12-month subscription to the music service.
