Selected pre-recorded Media Prima TV programmes are now available on mobile smartphones via Tonton Mobile.
Similar to what the web-based Tonton offers, the mobile version of Tonton allow users to watch selected TV programmes from TV3, NTV7, TV9, 8TV including some movies and exclusive contents.
Some of the pre-recorded TV programmes include 7 Edition, Buletin Utama, Nona, Melodi, The 8TV Quickie, Bella, Eyes On You and more.
The “app-like” Tonton Mobile page supports HTML5 and it is currently in version 1.0. The next version will have premium contents, favourites, playlisting and chat feature.
To watch Tonton Mobile, point your mobile browser to m.tonton.com.my. Currently Tonton Mobile is supported on iOS4 & above, Android 2.2 & above and Blackberry OS6 & above. An unlimited mobile data plan with speeds up to 1Mbps is required to use the service.
Tonton was launched in August 2010 by Malaysia’s largest media group, Media Prima. Tonton is operated by Alt-Media and developed together with Accenture and Australia-based VioCorp.
