Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 blocked in Europe

It not only happened Australia, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 has been blocked in Europe as well. The new Galaxy Tab went on sale in Britain sometime last week and must now be removed from shelves and Samsung must stop marketing it.

The Regional Court of Dusseldorf has granted Apple a preliminary injunction against the sale and marketing of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 across all of Europe except the Netherlands. The judge backed Apple’s claim that Samsung’s tablet had infringed on its intellectual property and copied elements of the iPad 2. Any appeal from Samsung would be heard in around four weeks time.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 was supposedly go on sale in Malaysia(Celcom) sometime this month, but it has now been postponed to a later date, which is unknown at the moment.

The Galaxy Tab 10.1 is available in the US market since June 2011.
