Its probably the world’s first quad-core smartphone and made by HTC. The HTC Edge is said to be powered by the NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core processor with each cores clocked at 1.5GHz. In other words, it’s twice as powerful as the HTC Rezound launched last week.
Other specifications of the HTC Edge include 1GB RAM, 32GB of built-in memory, 4.7″ screen with HD resolution, 8MP camera unit with f/2.2 lens and Bluetooth 4.0 is expected.
The HTC Edge is reported to be only capable of 21Mbps HSDPA network speeds. No details on support for LTE or if it will be pre-loaded with the latest Android Ice Cream Sandwich(Android 4.0).
Reports claim that the HTC Edge will only hit the market in late Q1, or early Q2 of next year.
