Apple iOS 5.0.1 update did not fix all issues

The recent iOS 5 update(version 5.0.1) that Apple released to fix the battery drain issues in iPhone might have caused some other new problems and did not fix all battery issues for some users.

iOS 5.0.1 was supposed to fix several bugs that caused some iPhone 4S and older iPhone devices to rapidly discharge their batteries. The update also brings more multitouch gestures to the original iPad, several bug fixes for iCloud, and improved Siri voice recognition capability for Australian accents.

After the iOS 5.0.1 update, some users have complained in the Apple Support Forum that they experienced microphone failures, SIM card issue, Wi-Fi signal loss and poor mobile network reception issues. A large number of them also claims that the iOS 5.0.1 update did not fix the battery issue.

In a statement, Apple said “The recent iOS software update addressed many of the battery issues that some customers experienced on their iOS 5 devices,”……….. “We continue to investigate a few remaining issues.”
