We recently got tipped from Tay Boon Leong who live in Penang about the Maxis iPhone 4S. Mr Tay claims that he received an invitation from Maxis to attend the iPhone 4S launch at the main Maxis Center in Penang on December 16, midnight.
Upon further checking, we found out that the same thing is happening at few other states. The main Maxis Center in Kuantan, Johor, Kuching, Kota Kinabalu & Penang will be open on December 16 midnight for the iPhone 4S launch.
Unfortunately, we also found out that only selected Maxis customers are invited to purchase the iPhone 4S at 12am. We were told that Maxis customers nationwide should be able to purchase the iPhone 4S starting 10am(Dec 16).
This makes Maxis customers among the 1st to purchase the iPhone 4S in the country at 12am, December 16.
We haven’t heard anything similar from Celcom and DiGi but both operators also offer the iPhone 4S nationwide during business hours. If you know something that we don’t know yet, please drop us an email.
