Apple sends out a big thanks to those who have downloaded from the App Store. As of March 3, the Apple app store reached the 25 billion downloads mark, creating a new milestone for the company.
To celebrate, the lucky one that downloaded the 25 billionth app will receive a $10,000 gift card from Apple.
The winner of this contest hasn’t been announced yet and will be contacted by Apple soon.
Apple App Store downloads crossed 1 billion back in April of 2009, and then 10 billion in January of 2011. In comparison, Google’s Android Market passed the 10 billion app download mark back in December of 2011.
