Hundreds of fans lined up for free LMFAO tickets on Saturday in five major cities around Malaysia. Samsung, the official title sponsor for the event, gave two free tickets to each Samsung GALAXY Y owners. There were over a 1000 tickets to be redeemed nationwide.
Close to 500 fans turned up at Sunway Pyramid, which was the main location for the ticket redemption in Klang Valley. While waiting, the crowd was entertained by Elecoldxhot, Malaysia’s no.1 breakdance group, and a surprise flash mob, which saw members of the crowd break into cool shuffling moves to a medley of LMFAO’s top hits. Apart from that, a shuffling competition gave fans a chance to be one of three lucky contestants to win five LMFAO tickets each by showing off their prowess on the dance floor.
The Party Rockin’ doesn’t just stop here, as Samsung will be taking the party online, rolling out an online video contest this Tuesday, 14 March. The Goreng Crew – Online Video Submission contest will see participants upload videos of them acting as LMFAO in a Malaysian context. This round, not only do they win free tickets, the best three videos will win a once-in-a-lifetime chance to be part of LMFAO’s entourage.
The LMFAO concert will be held at the Surf Beach, Sunway Lagoon. Concert tickets are priced at RM398 (JS VIP Zone), RM298 (Samsung Zone), RM198 (Party Zone), and RM138 (Chill Out Zone). Tickets are available online at www.ticketpro.com.my and any Rock Corner, The Guitar Store, Victoria Music outlets.
